Lady Gaga's stylists Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador have landed the top spot on The Hollywood Reporter's 25 Most Powerful Stylists list for 2019.
The duo was behind Gaga's showstopping looks for the press tour of A Star is Born, and then all through awards season, which saw her pick up an Oscar, Golden Globe, and BAFTA for the film's song Shallow, and an acting gong at the Critics' Choice Awards.
Crowning the pink feathered Valentino haute couture dress Gaga wore to the Venice Film Festival as the last year's top style moment, Sandra recalled: "It was the first premiere, so all the elements - the grandeur of Venice, the thunderstorm, the introduction of Lady Gaga and this campaign - were cinematic."
Tom and Sandra are now gearing up to dress the singer/actress for the Met Gala in May.
The second-place spot went to Ilaria Urbinati, who has won praise for her work with Rami Malek, Armie Hammer, Bradley Cooper, Donald Glover, John Krasinski, Chris Evans, and Dwayne Johnson.
Talking about the recent awards season, which saw Rami go home with a clutch of Best Actor gongs, including the Academy Award, Ilaria said it can be a tough task avoiding repetition.
"You get to a point (where) you're literally running out of clothes," she shared. "We ended up doing a lot of custom looks."
Gemma Chan's stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray came in bronze. Rebecca also dresses Lily James, but it's her work with Crazy Rich Asians star Gemma that has propelled her into the spotlight.
Elizabeth Stewart, who works with Julia Roberts, Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis, Gal Gadot, and Jessica Chastain, came in fourth, while Petra Flannery, the go-to stylist for Emma Stone, Amy Adams, and Emilia Clarke, rounded out the top five.
